چکیده

Abstract Water crisis issues are common in rural and urban areas, which can be tackled honestly by planning managing existing water resources. The site suitability map is the principal footstep of practice for a region’s sustainable surface groundwater resource development. paper aims to delineate suggest suitable sites harvesting development taking lower Kulsi watershed as study area. Analytical Hierarchical Process (AHP) Geographical Information System (GIS) techniques used multi-criteria decision-making process identify structures like percolation tanks, check dams, farm ponds on basin specific key factor each design. About one hundred ninety-six detected from most category based particular criteria suggestions conservation

simulation and experimental studies for prediction mineral scale formation in oil field during mixing of injection and formation water

abstract: mineral scaling in oil and gas production equipment is one of the most important problem that occurs while water injection and it has been recognized to be a major operational problem. the incompatibility between injected and formation waters may result in inorganic scale precipitation in the equipment and reservoir and then reduction of oil production rate and water injection rate. ...

Using Landscape Metrics Analysis and Analytic Hierarchy Process to Assess Water Harvesting Potential Sites in Jordan

Jordan is characterized as a “water scarce” country. Therefore, conserving ecosystem services such as water regulation and soil retention is challenging. In Jordan, rainwater harvesting has been adapted to meet those challenges. However, the spatial composition and configuration features of a target landscape are rarely considered when selecting a rainwater-harvesting site. This study aimed to ...

Characterisation of Metals in Water and Sediments of Subarnarekha River along the Projects’ Sites in Lower Basin, India

The Subarnarekha River is one of the most important east flowing rivers of India. The river in West Bengal and Odisha is site for the Subarnarekha Barrage Project and Kirtania port respectively. The major objectives of the present study were to investigate the pre-projects level of heavy metals in water and sediments of the Subarnarekha River along the projects’ sites. Water and Surface sedimen...

Demarcation of Groundwater Prospective Zones in Humid Tropical River Basin: A Geospatial Approach

Groundwater, being a vital resource, needs to be developed with proper understanding about its occurrence in time and space. Unscientific sand mining is a dominant environmental issue in this humid tropical river basin namely Bharathapuzha river basin geographically on central part of Kerala state, southwest part of India. The sandy layers along the river course declines its water holding capac...
